After falling behind early, Shelbyville responded with timely hitting and a steady presence on the mound, rallying for a 6-3 road win over Lincoln County on Friday night to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three District 6-AAAA semifinal series.

Kaleb Maillet delivered a strong complete-game performance, working all seven innings while allowing seven hits and three runs—just one earned. The right-hander struck out six and walked only one, preventing Lincoln County from building any sustained momentum after the first inning.

At the plate, Shelbyville made the most of its opportunities despite being limited to six hits. Ashton Whorley provided the biggest swing, driving in three runs on a two-hit night. Stephen Bobo scored twice and added a hit and a walk, while Caden Peacock and Elijah Westbrooks each contributed a hit.
