Community wasted little time taking control, scoring both of its runs in the opening inning before leaning on its pitching and defense the rest of the way.

After Anna Haskins reached and helped ignite the rally, Kamryn Farrell delivered a sacrifice fly to bring home the game’s first run. Moments later, Daniel came through with the biggest swing of the morning, blasting a solo home run to extend the lead to 2-0.

Prince worked around seven walks (four intentional)and repeatedly shut down any momentum Unicoi County attempted to build.

Community finished with five hits in the win. Daniel led the offense with a home run and RBI, while Kailani Allen collected two hits. Haylee Webb and Hayden Moore each added hits as the Viqueens continued to find timely offense in key moments.
